The Penns Manor Comets will be calling Indiana its home-away-from-home this Friday night when it plays its “home” opener at Indiana’s Andy Kuzneski Field vs the Northern Cambria.
Penns Manor’s Pat Corrigan Field recently had an artificial surf installed, the first in the Heritage Conference, but a recent storm damaged the field. Officials decided the field could not be repaired in time for the home opener on Aug. 25.
Ironically, Penns Manor will be playing its first home game on a non-natural grass surface anyway, as Kuzneski Field also has an artificial surface.
The game can be heard on U92.5 FM, starting with the pregame at 6:30 p.m. Kickoff is at 7:00 pm, with ticket Prices at $4 for adults and $1 for students. All Seats are general admission, so no reserved seating. Gates will open and ticket sales will begin at 5:45 pm.
The Comets will finally play their first true home game on Sept. 15 when they play host to Ligonier Valley.
