Plea Court appearances are scheduled today for a number of defendants in Indiana County Court, including an Indiana man accused of pulling off a series of retail thefts on four consecutive days last December and two straight days in April. 33-year-old Frank Gardner faces a total of ten felony counts of retail theft, eight counts of misdemeanor theft by deception, and seven counts of misdemeanor receiving stolen property.
Other cases scheduled for Plea Court today:
21-year-old Takeal Dey Clemons of Indiana will plead in three separate cases. In the most extensive filing, he’s accused of breaking into five Indiana Borough apartments and stealing numerous items from IUP students who were away on Easter break in April. He’s charged with five counts each of burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property in that case, along with burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property for a break-in in March and theft and unauthorized access for an incident in February.
28-year-old Ayla Mae Binion of Home will enter pleas to multiple charges in a series of vehicle break-ins in May along Pearce Hollow Road in Rayne Township. She was caught inside a garage by a homeowner at 4 AM that morning and was detained until police arrived. Binion is charged with burglary (with physical injury for the victim), theft, receiving stolen property, and criminal mischief. Additional charges include ten misdemeanors, five for theft, four for receiving stolen property, and one for loitering and prowling at night; and a summary count of harassment for physical contact with a victim.
26-year-old Corey Altman of Indiana will answer charges today for institutional vandalism to an educational facility and conspiracy to the same offense for an incident in April.
34-year-old Jeffrey Gene Smith of Indiana will plead to a single count of endangering the welfare of children, in February.
26-year-old David Eberhardt of Butler will plead to charges of receiving stolen property, unauthorized device access, and theft form a motor vehicle, in a case from last August.
45-year-old Tonya Lee Fairman of Marion Center is scheduled to plead to charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest, and summary traffic offenses last March.
