Larry Allen McCurdy, 70, of Lucernemines, passed away at his home, Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017.
The son of the late Harry A. McCurdy Sr. and Nancy Hair McCurdy, he was born April 5, 1947, in Indiana.
He retired from Waste Management in 2007, where he was a truck driver. Larry was a member of the V.F.W. and the Homer City Club Savoy.
He is survived by four daughters: Tammy Bender and friend, Dave Smychynsky, of Duncansville; Terry Weiss and husband Jeff, of Shelocta; Linda Yacavone and husband Peter, of Ernest; and Ronda Hollenbaugh and husband Dave, of Lucernemines; four sisters: Judy Galonis, of Warren, OH; Nancy Hellman, of Warren, OH; Shirley McNeal, of Warren, OH; and Carol Hancock and husband Dave, of Indiana; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a good friend, Grama Patty.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Linda L. McCurdy; a daughter, Tina Bothel; a brother, Harry A. McCurdy, Jr.; a sister, Charlot Boyer; and one grandchild.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc. Interment will be in Brush Valley Lutheran Cemetery.
