Brisk sales have boosted the Powerball jackpot for tonight’s drawing.
With the Powerball’s jackpot originally estimated at $510 million after the drawing on Wednesday, ticket sales have been brisk. Lottery executive director Drew Svitko noted that tickets “are selling like Solar Eclipse Glasses, but tickets are much easier to find in stores.” Because of those ticket sales, the Jackpot is now at $535 million annuity or a $324.2 million cash prize.
This marks the largest jackpot since the record breaking jackpot won in January of 2016, when the Jackpot was near $1.6 billion. Powerball tickets are on sale until 9:59 PM tonight for tonight’s drawing, which will happen at 11:00 PM.
By the way, the odds of hitting the powerball jackpot are 1 in over 292 million. Good luck.
