Starting on Monday, traffic patterns in the area of Route 22 will change as bridge rehabilitation continues in Blairsville.
Starting on Monday, one lane in each direction of Route 22 between Jonnet Road and Dixon Street will close, so be prepared for congestion and delays in the area of the bridge that carries Route 22 over the Conemaugh River, Norfolk Southern Railroad and Route 217. Traffic pattern changes are expected for the remainder of the construction season.
Work on the Route 22 bridge includes repairs to the bridge deck and substructure, drainage work, and painting. The $4.85 million bridge replacement project, being worked on by Mosites Construction company, is expected to wrap up by the end of September.
