INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana borough police are investigating a pair of burglaries in the borough. One burglary was at a home in the 500 block of Washington Street. Police say that the victim, who was not identified, reported that between 4 AM and Noon on Thursday, someone got into his residence through a window and stole about $2000 in cash.
The other reported burglary happened between July 1st and 8th. The victim, who was not identified in the report, told police on Thursday that some items were stolen from their garage located in the 1300 block of Nixon Avenue.

PSP-GREENSBURG
State Police in Greensburg have reported that a woman at a personal care home was the victim of a scam. A person at the Crest Personal Care Home in Derry Township received several phone calls from someone claiming to be with the power company, and the scammer demanded that the victim pay an electric bill with MoneyPak gift cards, and give her the gift card numbers over the phone. The victim gave over $4000 in gift cards before realizing it was a scam. If you have any information on the crime, call State Police in Greensburg.
Two people from Latrobe have been charged with Simple Assault and Harassment for an incident earlier this month. State Police in Greensburg say that the incident happened at a home on Raymond Avenue in Derry Township, when a 49-year-old woman hit a 19-year-old woman with a fist and a wooden kitchen mallet, while the 19-year-old struck the 49-year-old and pushed her. Charges were filed through district court.
