A man charged with hurting a pedestrian in an accident involving a dump truck in June has waived one charge against him to court.
At his preliminary hearing on Thursday, 57-year-old Ray Leon Moore of Apollo waived a misdemeanor charge of accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed to court, while summary charges of driving on a suspended license and not having a commercial driver’s license were withdrawn. An affidavit of probable cause stated on June 6th at 1:11 PM, Moore was behind the wheel of a dump truck that had just delivered a load of clean fill and was turning left onto Martin Road when the tailgate of the dump truck swung open and hit 50-year-old Doyle Henry, who was walking along the road. Moore and his crew stopped to render aid before Henry was taken to the hospital.
No word yet on when Moore’s trial will be held.
