PSP-INDIANA
No one was injured in a crash in Green Township on August 12th. State Police say 57-year-old Randy Rummel of Northern Cambria was driving West on Sumac Road when he went off the road and hit an un-used utility pole. After hitting the pole, the car overturned and came to rest upside-down on the roadway. Neither Rummel, or his passenger, 21-year-old Nicholas Rummel were not hurt, but Randy Rummel was cited for not driving on roads laned for traffic.
State Police have filed charges in a case of access device fraud and theft in Center and White Townships. State Police say between April 24th and May 8th, 34-year-old Richard Michael Kolesar of Homer City stole five firearms from the home of a 65-year-old Homer City man. Kolesar allegedly also stole the victim’s credit and debit card and used them to purchase fuel and other items along with withdrawing cash from an ATM. The purchases were made in White and Center Townships.
PSP-GREENSBURG
State Police in Westmoreland County are investigating a case of access device fraud. Police say on August 11th, Kathleen Wheeler of Derry Township was notified by her credit card company of two unauthorized transactions on her bank statements for her debit card. The case is still under investigation.
