A Homer City woman faces charges of drug possession for an incident on August 10th. Police encountered Amandalin Quarry of Homer City at the Homer City Sheetz around 5:15 AM, where Sheetz loss prevention personnel caught her trying to shoplift. When she revealed the items in her purse, several apparent stamp bags were seen in plain view in her purse. When they looked in her purse further, they found other items of drug paraphernalia. It was later discovered the stamp bags contained fentanyl. Quarry is now in the Indiana County Jail.
State Police have charged a Clymer woman with making false reports. State Police say that 42-year-old Kristy McCracken of Clymer called PA Childline on August 11th and made a complaint against a 27-year-old Clymer woman, knowing that it was a false claim. Charges were filed with District Judge George Thachick’s Office.
Thefts from cars continue in Indiana County, with this one happening in White Township on August 8th, around 10:39 AM. An unknown person took a checkbook belonging to Lindsay Griffith Tally from her car as it was parked unlocked. If you have any information, call state police at 724-357-1960.
State police are investigating a different theft from a car in East Wheatfield Township. State police say that sometime between 11:00 PM August 6th and 11 AM on August 7th, someone took the front bumper off the truck of 33-year-old Michael Johnathan Fox that was parked at his home on Route 56. The thief fled the scene undetected. Investigation
continues.
