The Indiana Area School Board will meet tonight for the first of two meetings this month, and at this meeting, the board is expected to talk about the 2016 bond issue.
At the meeting tonight, Board President Doug Steve will put forward a motion to direct the district’s administration to explore the option of defeasance for the 2016 bond issue that was made. Defesance is defined as voiding a bond or loan when the borrower sets aside cash or bonds sufficient enough to service the borrower’s debt.
The board is also expected to approve some change orders concerning the Senior High Parking Lot Paving project, and they will also look to appoint Gregory Lazanic as the district’s new athletic director.
