Indiana County’s fair and festival season is now underway as the Dayton Fair kicked off yesterday.
Last night, Dayton’s fair queen was crowned, and this year’s fair queen is Gabrielle Kriley, with Stephanie Schrecengost named as the runner up.
Activities at the Dayton Fair start early before the gates open for general admission with judging of Light Horses and Pony Halter, and a Showmanship competition in the Horse Arena at 8:00 AM, and judging on foot carcass Steer and Sheep at the Livestock and Swine arenas. At 1:00, the fair officially opens and the rides open at 3:00, with more livestock and horse judging going on in the afternoon. Tonight’s musical entertainment is Crowder, a folk-tronic Christian musician, and he takes to the main stage at 7:00 PM.
