Charges are pending against a Virginia man who is accused of fleeing and eluding police along with resisting arrest and DUI in an incident on Saturday. This was on Lilac Street in White Township.
State Police initiated a traffic stop on Todd Kowchuck of Vienna, Virginia, when his car went through a red light at the intersection of Lilac and Warren Road, and police later determined that he was driving under the influence. When he was asked to get out of the car, Kowchuck instead fled the scene of the traffic stop in the vehicle. After going through a residential neighborhood, he voluntarily pulled over, before leaving the vehicle and trying to flee on foot. He was eventually taken into custody, and taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center for a blood test.
