INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police are continuing to report on vehicles being broken into. The first incident happened sometime between 11:00 PM on August 7th and 8:00 AM on August 8th, someone broke into a vehicle parked in the 200 block of North 5th Street and rummaged through various items in the vehicle, but did not take anything. Another incident reportedly happened on August 8th between midnight and 12:40 PM in the 200 block of Olive Street. The victim reported that someone broke into their vehicle and rummaged through various items, but, again, did not report any items stolen. Indiana Borough Police are investigating a burglary that happened as someone was moving into an apartment in the borough. This happened between August 4th and 5th in the 500 block of School Street. The victim reported that he had gone back to the apartment on the 5th and that several items that were brought into the apartment the day before were stolen. If you have any information, call police.
A bike was stolen in the Wayne Avenue area . Indiana Borough Police say that a Hispanic man wearing a red hat with a draw string backpack stole a bicycle from a bike rack in the 800 block of Wayne Avenue around 11:45 AM on Friday. The man was chased by the victim and was last seen going North in the 900 block of Oakland Avenue. Anyone with information on the theft can call police at 724-349-2121.
