The Pittsburgh Pirates winning ways continued with a 4-2 victory in Toronto against the Blue Jays.
The scoring started in the bottom of the second inning as Kevin Pilar of the Blue Jays hit a sacrifice fly that scored Justin Smoak. In the top of the third, Adam Frazier of the Pirates hit into a force-play but upon further review, the call was overturned and Frazier was ruled safe. The play scored John Jaso. Josh Harrison then hit an RBI single to score Fransisco Cervelli, and Andrew McCutchen hit an RBI double to score Frazier. Josh Bell finished the scoring with a sacrifice fly to score Harrison. That would be all the scoring the Pirates needed as they held the Blue Jays to one additional run, a home run from former Pirate Jose Bautista.
Jameson Taillon notched the victory, going six innings and allowing two runs on six hits, striking out seven in the process. Felipe Rivero notched the save, his 12th of the season.
The Pirates and Blue Jays play this afternoon and you can hear it starting at 12:40 on WCCS.
