IUP MEN'S BASKETBALL HIRES ASSISTANTS, RELEASES SCHEDULE

IUP men’s basketball head coach Joe Lombardi has tabbed Rob Zewe and Allen Payne as assistant coaches for the 2017-18 season. Zewe was a volunteer assistant with the Crimson Hawks last season.  Lombardi says he did a great job and had a tremendous impact on the success of last year’s team.  Payne joins the staff from Xavier University, where he spent the last two seasons as a graduate assistant. He was a three-year starter at Auburn and played one year of pro ball in England.
IUP released its 29-game regular season schedule yesterday, which includes the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic on November 3^rd and 4^th against Findlay (Ohio) and Ferris State (Mich.).  The Hawks will play four straight home games over the next two weekends, starting with Urbana and Virginia State November 10^th and 11^th in a regional challenge. The PSAC opener will be the following weekend against Lock Haven and Bloomsburg.
