The Steelers continue training camp today in Latrobe, then board a jet for New Jersey for tomorrow night’s preseason opener against the New York Giants.
Coach Mike Tomlin says his team is ready to roll and all of his healthy players will play, with the exception of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and wideout Antonio Brown.
The NFL has cleared wide receiver Martavis Bryant to participate in preseason practices and games, but not yet in the regular season. Bryant sat out all of last season for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy. He caught 50 passes for 765 yards and six touchdowns in 11 games in 2015.
In NFL preseason action last night, the Carolina Panthers beat Houston, 27-17.
