A Cambria County man was killed yesterday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Route 553 in Cherryhill Township.
State police say the accident happened at about 3:40 when a car driven by 37-year-old Brad Thomas Dixon of Colver crossed the center line just west of Pine Flats Road, colliding head-on with an SUV driven by 43-year-old Sarah Patterson of Clymer.
Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman Jr. pronounced Dixon dead at the scene from blunt force trauma to the chest. He was not wearing a seatbelt. No autopsy will be conducted and toxicology test results will take several weeks.
Patterson suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Citizens Ambulance to an undisclosed hospital.
