A high school sports-streaming company could go off the air before the season starts if they don’t get financial assistance from the public.
MSAsports.net, the sports streaming service that is used by many high schools, colleges and radio stations across Western Pennsylvania has been streaming high school sports since its early days as the Nauticom Sports Network nearly 20 years ago. Now, the company is in danger of going out of business. Reports say that MSA Sports’ parent company, Management Science Associates, has told MSA Sports management that unless they can prove the company can break even financially, they will no longer be able to sustain them.
MSA Sports has turned to Kickstarter to raise $85,000 to show that the company is still a viable commodity. MSA Sports streams thousands of games across 15 different sports, and is the streaming service used by Your Hometown Radio Station for high school football. MSA Sports has listeners across the nation and overseas as families are able to keep tabs on their student athlete relatives through the streaming service.
