A Homer City man is facing charges for his alleged actions during an incident July 18th along Shelly Drive in White Township.
State police say 20-year-old Jared Wardo and his 21-year-old girlfriend were involved in a verbal argument which turned physical when a 57-year-old woman intervened. Wardo is accused of yelling racial slurs at the woman, who is black, for stepping in and for calling the police. He is charged with harassment and disorderly conduct.
Wardo is scheduled for court today to determine his eligibility for the county’s Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for an arrest last October on charges of theft, theft by deception, and receiving stolen property.
