Homer-Center will have a few new teachers this coming school year.
The Homer-Center School Board approved the employment of two new secondary English teachers. Mrs. Heather Lowry of the Homer City area and Mrs. Kimberly Dunlap of Blairsville will begin employment August 18th.
The board also approved a motion to employ Mr. Andrew Kent as a secondary Spanish teacher, effective approximately October 4th.
Additionally, the board accepted the resignation of Ms. Suzanne Mazur, who served Homer-Center for 16 years as a secondary math teacher.
In other news, the board approved the purchase of new girls’ basketball uniforms.
