Paving operations are continuing throughout Indiana County.
In Indiana Borough, paving operations are going on right now on South 3rd Street, while milling operations will take place today on Rice Avenue, School Street from 6th Street to 9th Street, South 8th Street from Philadelphia to School Street, and the 700 block of Gompers Avenue. As part of the roadwork today, Indiana Borough Public Works Director Dave Fairman said that the borough’s street department will replace about 60 feet of pipe damaged by the recent storms from Edgewood Avenue at Chestnut Street to White’s Woods.
We’ve also received word about paving operations in the Rayne Township Area. Mike Keith of Rayne Township said that Tanoma Road, a popular shortcut to Route 286, will have paving operations this week from Route 119 to Rayne Run Road, so that portion of Tanoma Road will be closed.
