UPDATE: Amber Plavi was sentenced this morning to 4 months to two years less a day in Indiana County Jail, but because she has already served four months in jail waiting for the trial, she was sentenced to time served, and was paroled immediately.
Meanwhile, James Crossman was sentenced to two years probation, a $500 fine and $300 in court costs.
WHAT WAS FIRST REPORTED
In Indiana County Court today, numerous defendants are scheduled for sentencing.

Investigators said that Plavi wanted the hit man to use had a nine-millimeter handgun that she had stolen from the victim’s pickup truck, and that she planned to leave a door open for the hit man to enter her fiance’s home. Police were tipped off by a confidential informant.
Other sentencing scheduled today include the case of 32-year-old James William Crossman of Clymer, who pleaded guilty to misdemeanor indecent assault of a person less than thirteen years of age, in exchange for non-prosecution on felony charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person under age sixteen and corruption of minors. The offenses occurred in April, 2011 and the charges were filed last December.
