INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police say that a Shelocta man was arrested for Harassment, Disorderly Conduct and resisting arrest. This happened at 11:20 PM Friday night in the 500 block of Church Street. Police say that they received a report of people fighting in the home. 23-year-old Caleb Collier was one of the people involved in the fight. Indiana borough police took him into custody and while they apprehended him, Collier resisted officers. Charges were filed with District Judge Guy Haberl’s office.

Indiana-Based State Police are looking for someone who stole a stove from a home in the Young Township area. Police say that they were called in to investigate the theft from a rental property in the Young Township area. The property’s owner, 59-year-old Clark Miller of Blairsville, said that 27-year-old Travis Biss of Blairsville was the thief. The property on 5th Street was unoccupied and Biss was given permission to stay there while the renter was out of town. Biss took the stove to a pawn shop and sold it there. Charges were filed with District Judge Jennifer Rega’s office.
State Police found a man who was desperate to get some alcohol and tried to steal mouthwash from the Wal-Mart in Blairsville. The attempted theft happened on July 26th at 2:43 in the afternoon at the Wal-mart on Resort Plaza Drive. Wal-Mart Loss Prevention employees caught Brian Swanlek of Blairsville stuffing a 1.5 liter bottle of mouthwash down his pants and trying to leave the store with it. When confronted by police, Swanlek claimed he was trying to steal the mouthwash to drink it because of its alcohol content. Swanlek was charged with retail theft
State Police have charged an Indiana man with Harassment. The incident happened around 7:52 AM on Friday at a home on East Pike Road in White Township. Police say that 21-year-old Brandon Crissman was in a dispute with a 33-year-old Indiana man when Crissman struck the other man in the face. Charges were filed with District Judge Susanne Steffee’s office.
