William Irving Horn, 86, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville, PA.
The son of Jessie and Anna Horn, he was born April 7, 1931 in Brenizer, PA.
Mr. Horn was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, and the Angels of Compassion.
He retired from Penn Central Railroad as a heavy equipment operator. He began working on the railroad at the age of 14 to support his family. When he retired he had the oldest tenure working on the railroad.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Stella B. (Denisiuk) Horn whom he married November 26, 1950; a daughter, Dr. Kathy E. Horn-Dalton of Rock Springs, Wyoming, and a brother, Harvey Horn of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Jessie, Louis and Charles and three sisters, Martha Virdzek, Anna Pease and Helen Price.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA, with Fr. Stephen R. Bugay as celebrant, at a later date
Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
