There have been a number of accidents on area roadways, with little information available on them so far.
One of those crashes happened just before 7:30 last evening in Cherryhill Township. It was on Route 553 at Laurel Run Road. Cherryhill Township and Pine Township firefighters were summoned along with multiple ambulances and two helicopters.
Another accident was reported at 7:10 PM in Conemaugh Township. Saltsburg and Tunnelton firefighters responded.
And no information is yet available on a two-vehicle crash, reportedly with at least one person injured, on Route 217 near Pizza Barn Road, outside of Blairsville in Derry Township, Westmoreland County.
