The Blairsville Colts took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 Indiana County League championship series by beating Greensburg, 6-4, Thursday night at One River Field in Blairsville.
Matt Hogue gave up a three-run homer in the first inning, but he settled in to hold Greensburg to three hits through the next six innings. He also added two hits in the Blairsville offense, along with Scott Thompson, who added two RBIs.
Blairsville scored four runs in the second inning and added a pair in the fourth.
The Colts travel to Greensburg Friday evening for Game 2, weather permitting.
