After a relatively quiet start to the week, there is some action in Indiana County Court today, including a plea court appearance for a Clarion County man in a theft case. 31-year-old Robert George of Shippenville is charged with two counts each of theft, simple assault, and harassment, and a single count of criminal mischief for an incident last November. He is scheduled to appear before Judge William Martin at 9:30 this morning.
There is also a non-jury trial scheduled today before visiting Judge Timothy Creany, who will hear the case against 52-year-old Steven Paul Novosel of Avonmore. He’s charged with a single felony count of retail theft from July of last year.
Judge Creany will also preside over several non-jury trials for contempt by violation of a court order or agreement.
