The annual Taste and Tour was another rousing success for Downtown Indiana.
The fundraiser is a way for Downtown Indiana restaurants to show off their wares and debut new dishes to those in attendance. Downtown Indiana Director David Janusek said that they had over 300 people in attendance for the event. Janusek said the money raised by Taste and Tour will go to help Downtown Indiana with maintenance costs and to assist with the costs of events like the Northern Appalachian Folk Festival.
Along with getting the chance to taste from 12 different restaurants, participants also voted on the best dishes in three categories. For healthiest dish, it was a tie between The Pita Pit and Romeo’s Mediterranean Pizzeria. The Most Creative dish award went to the Funky Brunch. And best overall went to RBG Bar and grill.
