Rebecca E. Simpson, age 63, of Hershey, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the Homeland Center in Harrisburg.
She was born in 1953 in Indiana to Robert C. and Mildred L. Neal Simpson.
Rebecca was a 1972 graduate of Indiana Area High School, and a graduate of the Indiana Hospital School of Nursing. She received her RN degree from Shadyside Hospital and was later employed by Hershey Medical Center and Holy Spirit Hospital as an Operating Room Nurse.
Rebecca was a member of the Life Center Church, Harrisburg, and enjoyed visits to Blue Mountain Christian Reteate. She also served on the Mercy Ship’s.
She is survived by two brothers and one sister – Robert M. Simpson and wife Judy, Indiana; William L. Simpson and wife Mila, Indiana; Bonnie L. Kurcsics and husband Frank, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents and by numerous aunts and uncles.
There will be no visitation according to Rebecca’s wishes. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday at 2 P.M. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Indiana, with Reverend Becky Edwards officiating. Interment will be made in the Gilgal Cemetery, Marion Center.
