Lilly (Penn Cambria) defeated Marion Center, 4-3, in the Senior American Legion District 2 Sub-Regional Tournament played Monday at First Commonwealth Bank Field in Center Township,
Lilly won on a walk-off single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th.
Marion Center scored three runs in the fifth inning to take a 3-2 lead but then gave up a run in the bottom of the sixth to knot the score at 3-3, setting the stage for the walk-off win for Lilly.
Lilly advances to play at the District 2 state tournament in Bloomsburg on Monday. Marion Center had won both games at First Commonwealth on Sunday to advance to this game. Lilly defeated Jeanette and Young Township in Somerset on Saturday to make it to the Sub-Regional game.
