Elizabeth Anne Hastings, age 85 of Indiana, died Monday, July 17, 2017 at Indiana Square Personal Care Home. She was born in 1932 in Steubenville, OH to William Jennings and Mary Dankert Claycomb.
Elizabeth enjoyed a long career as a business woman in the Insurance Industry and had served as President of Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, as well as serving as a member of the Board of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies. She also served as secretary/treasurer of the Greenwood Cemetery for 45 years.
She enjoyed the company of many friends and associates throughout her lifetime.
Elizabeth is survived by one son, William Robin and wife Susan Brant Hastings, Indiana; one step-grandson Stephen P. Solo and wife Kimberly, Ligonier; step-great granddaughter Scarlett Solo, Indiana; one sister Mary Shrum, Bartow, FL; one sister-in-law Lois Claycomb, South Bend, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William B.”Bill” Hastings in 2015, and her brother William Claycomb in 1996.
The family would like to thank the staff of Indiana Square Personal Care Home for their compassionate and attentive care during Elizabeth’s stay.
Interment and visitation will be private according to the families wishes. The Bowser-Minich Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
