Flood waters have receded once again in Central Indiana County, and the process for reporting the flood damage has started again.
While it is now the weekend, and many local government offices are now closed, those who had even just a little bit of flood damage should be ready to contact their municipal office to report it. As we’ve heard from White Township Supervisors earlier this week, the information provided by property owners and residents is important towards getting necessary money for repairs from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.
Indiana Borough used its SwiftReach system to notify people in the borough that they can pick up forms at the borough office on 8th Street during office hours or online at their website, www.indianaboro.com. That’s the same for White Township, as the forms are available at their office on Indian Springs Road and on their website, www.whitetownship.org.
Speaking of the floods, the American Red Cross has once again sent volunteer teams into Indiana County to provide assistance. Efforts focused on the heaviest hit areas, including Indiana and Clymer Boroughs along with White Township. Their efforts have also gone out to Clearfield and Fayette County and so far, over 150 clean-up kits and other supplies to residents over the three county area. Should people need further assistance, you should call 724-465-5678 and select option 1.
