There is still time to get tickets for the annual Fraternal Order of Police Country Music Show at Mack Park’s Fairgrounds.
This year’s show features Country music legend and Grand Ole Opry member Charlie Daniels and his band. The singer is best known for his hit “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”, which was featured in the film Urban Cowboy in 1980. He is also known for the singles “Uneasy Rider”, “The South’s gonna do it again”, “This ain’t no rag, it’s a flag” and has released 30 studio albums and 54 singles. Along with his membership in the Opry, he is a member of the Country Music hall of fame and the musicians hall of fame.
Opening up for Charlie Daniels will be local musicans “The Ole 97”, a tribute band to Johnny Cash. The show starts at 3:00 PM and the grandstands open up at 2:30. The show benefits the local lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police. You can find out more information on the FOP’s website, www.FOP33.com
