Armstrong swept the best-of-three game series in the Youth Legion Championship with a 10-3 victory last night against Brookville.
Offense was plentiful, but for Armstrong, much of the offense was Singles and Stolen Bases as they did not register an extra-base hit. Pitcher Caleb Harriger went 6 and 1/3rds innings, giving up 1 earned run on five hits, and notching 10 strikeouts. He also had two hits and 3 RBI’s to help the offense. Zach Straiff and Nick Parise also had two hits apiece.
With the championship victory, Armstrong is the #1 seed and they will take on a team from Erie in the opening round of the upcoming regional.
