PITT FOOTBALL: TIPTON OUT FOR THE SEASON

Pitt wideout Tre Tipton is out for the season after suffering a “non-football” knee injury. The Apollo Ridge graduate caught twelve passes for 1`42 yards and a touchdown and rushed eleven times for 61 yards in his redshirt freshman season last year and was a top candidate to start this year.  He missed his true freshman season with a knee injury and played only nine games last year before suffering a collapsed lung against Miami.
