Michael Ryan’s Altoona Curve enter the Eastern League All-Star break with a record of 46-41 after falling, 7-6, to Akron yesterday.
The Curve led 6-0 in the 7th, but relievers Jake Brentz and Miguel Rosario struggled to stop a rally, Brentz walking six men and Rosario walking in the winning run.
Curve first baseman Edwin Espinal cracked a three-run home run in the fifth inning and second baseman Pablo Reyes was 3-for-4.
After the All-Star Break, the Curve open a four-game series at home against Bowie on Thursday.
