While celebrations have been going on throughout the weekend, today is officially Independence Day in the United States, celebrating the 241st anniversary of the founding of our country.
As today is recognized as a federal holiday, there are several closures in effect. Federal, State and Local government offices are closed for today. This includes PennDOT Drivers License Centers. State Liquor Stores will be open today from 9-5. Banks are also closed, along with post offices, UPS and FedEx. The Indiana Free Library and Jimmy Stewart Museum are closed today as well. IndiGo fixed bus service will not be in operation today.
