A restaurant in Rural Valley is set to re-open Monday, July 3rd.
The Black Bull Saloon, re-branded as The Black Bull Steakhouse and Saloon, will re-open after being closed for several months. Known previously as Laird’s, the tavern was renamed the Black Bull after its purchase by Billy Rugh, who had decided to close down due to health troubles.
However, in a post on Facebook, General Operations Manager Jim Libengood apologized to former employees who found themselves abruptly without a job, and also stressed that the Saloon has been “reinvented with the customer in mind,” and invites patrons to stop in and see the extensive renovations and try the new menu.
At a media event on Friday celebrating the re-opening, Libengood, also known in the area as DJ Jammin’ Jim, told us what customers can expect from the new Bull:
“Here at the new Black Bull Steakhouse and Saloon, we are looking to become more of a restaurant, a place where you can have a destination dining meal. We are a steakhouse, we’re going to- if it has the word ‘steak’ after it or before it, it is going to be on the menu.”
“In the future we are looking to do some rib cook-offs, some wing cook-offs, car shows, be kind of an entertainment oasis place. And maybe even the possibility of hosting some wedding receptions here.”
The new Black Bull Steakhouse and Saloon, located on Route 85 in Rural Valley, is slated to open at 4 PM tomorrow.
