The Altoona Curve dropped their fifth straight game with a loss to the Erie Seawolves Friday night 8-1.
A 7-run second inning was the downfall for the curve as A.J. Simcox of the Seawolves put Erie on the board with an RBI single. Harold Castro also hit a run-scoring single, and an RBI double from Kody Eaves sent Curve starter J.T. Brubaker to the bench early. His replacement, Tate Scioneaux didn’t fare much better as he gave up an RBI single to Cristin Stewart followed by three straight walks, two of them with the bases loaded. The only Curve run came in the 5th with a solo home run from Pablo Reyes. The Curve and Erie continue their series tonight from UPMC Field in Erie.
