The White Township Supervisors discussed the flooding last night at their meeting.
The supervisors discussed contacting state legislators to find out what would qualify them for a disaster declaration and for assistance for businesses and homes in the area that were damaged in last Thursday’s flooding that hit central Indiana County. Township Manager Milt Lady is encouraging people to report the damage to the township offices as it will help them towards their application for state disaster aid from PEMA.
In other business, the supervisors also authorized signing a bill of sale for the purchase of a portable temporary bridge from Young Township, which can be used as either a second entryway for the Township offices or to be used in an emergency in case a bridge goes out.
