Tampa Bay topped the Pirates last night, 4-2, in 10 innings.
Andrew McCutchen drove in two runs in the ninth inning to tie the game at 2-2, but reliever Felipe Rivero took the loss after faltering. David Freese’s error in the 10th was one of three Pirates errors.
Trevor Williams pitched well but was not involved in the decision.
