Viola May “Vi” (Stahlman) Isenberg, age 82 of Indiana, died
Sunday, June 25, 2017 at St. Andrew’s Village.
She was born in 1935 in Creekside to Franklin Clyde and Mary
Pearl Coleman Stahlman.
Mrs. Isenberg was a member of the Trinity United Methodist
Church, Indiana, where she served as church treasurer, the
church crisis committee, the Elizabeth Black Circle making
quilts for the Red Cross, and as treasurer of the United Methodist
Women. She was also a former member of the Pine-ees Camping
Club, and the Evergreen Garden Club.
Vi was employed by Penstan Supply, (formerly Fowlers Co). for
33 years where she worked in accounts payable and other
clerical responsiblities.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, needle work, knitting, and
gardening.
She was known for her loving and kind nature and was
particularly proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters and one son – Diana Pisarcik
Heasley and husband James, Indiana; Robin Montgomery,
Westover, WV; Robert Isenberg, Denver, NC; seven
grandchildren – Kristofer Pisarcik and wife Marie, and Ryan
Pisarcik, April Montgomery Powell and husband Jason, Nathan
Montgomery and wife Mary, Keith Isenberg and wife Teresa,
Kevin Isenberg, Meghan Heasley; 11 great grandchildren –
Kristen Pisarcik, Samantha Pisarcik, Gabriel Sleigh, Rayna
Sleigh, Lillie, Nicholas, and Clara Powell, Morgan, Madelyn,
and Mitchell Montgomery, Alessandra Isenberg; former
son-in-law Martin Pisarcik, Jr., Blairsville; and a special friend
Vivian Verheyen, Indiana.
She is also survived by five brothers and two sisters – Irene
Fairman, Indiana; John Stahlman, Blairsville; Robert Stahlman
and wife Pat, Olney, IL; Gene Stahlman and wife Marylee,
Home; Jerry Stahlman, Lucernemines; Samuel Stahlman and
wife Babette, Guffey, CO; Genevieve Darlene Wensel, Home;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Robert
