A Homer City woman accused of helping a Nicktown man with a meth lab will be sentenced today in Indiana County Court.
Theresa Marie McCloskey will be sentenced today for a guilty plea to a charge of possession of red phosphorous with the intent to manufacture a controlled substance. Charges of operating a meth lab, possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia will not be prosecuted. The charges were filed against her and Patrick O’Neal Laney of Nicktown after police raided a house in Vintondale and found several items used in the “one-pot’ method of creating methamphetamines. Laney was sentenced in March to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia while two other drug-related charges were not prosecuted.
Several other sentencing hearings are set for Indiana County Court today, including David Domino, who pleaded guilty to charges of homicide by vehicle and driving under the influence in a crash near the Challenger Raceway in Young Township. Denise Dando, who was injured after Domino lost control of his motorcycle during a memorial ride for Shannon and Raymond Stumpf in late July, died a week after the crash due to the injuries she suffered.
Also on the schedule today is Olivia Depaul of Blairsville, who is facing sentencing in two different cases. One case is a guilty plea to a charge of Conspiracy to retail theft in early December of 2016 and the other case is a guilty plea to a charge of manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver from a case in November of 2015.
