The Cardinals came to life late in the game to top the Pirates, 8-4, last night in St. Louis.
St. Louis scored four runs in the seventh inning to break a 4-4 tie.
Adam Frazier had two RBI and scored a run for Pittsburgh. Juan Nicasio took the loss, giving up four in facing five batters.
The Pirates still won two of three games in the series. The Bucs are off today and will resume Tuesday night against Tampa Bay.
