At the 2017 NHL Draft, the Pens First-Round Draft Pick actually went to the St. Louis Blues. In exchange, the Pens picked up some strength for the winger positions.
Pens GM Jim Rutherford traded the team’s first round draft pick and center Oskar Sundqvisst for gritty winger Ryan Reaves and a pick in the 2nd round of the draft. Reaves is meant to add strength to the Pens’ front lines. He has 27 goals , 24 assists and 695 penalty minutes in his career, all with the Blues.
