That’s the advice from people who attended last year’s Penguins victory parade in downtown Pittsburgh. The sun will be out and there is little in the way of shade.
Last year Pittsburgh paramedics treated a number of people who suffered from the heat and it is expected to be warmer and more humid for this year’s parade.
One of the popular viewing spots is the parking garage on the Boulevard of the Allies. You can watch from the garage, even if you haven’t parked your car there.
Also, be prepared to walk. After 9 am much of the downtown area will be shut down to traffic as final preparations are made for the big event.
