State police have issued reports on several accidents in the last few weeks, including a rollover crash last Wednesday in which a Heilwood woman was injured. Police say 20-year-old Katelyn Peace was driving too fast on the wet highway when she lost control of her Jeep on Route 403 in Pine Township, crashing head-on into the guide rail, with the vehicle rolling over and coming to rest back on its wheels. Peace was taken to the Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment of suspected minor injuries.
46-year-old Jason Dunlap of Indiana suffered minor injuries in a motorcycle crash June 2nd on Route 286 in Center Township. Police say Dunlap lost control of his cycle and laid the bike down. He was wearing a helmet.
No one was injured in a May 28th collision on East Indiana Street in Homer City. State police say 50-year-old Daniel Rummell of Homer City was stopped at a stop sign when his vehicle was struck at an angle by the vehicle of 19-year-old Kylee Martin of Graceton. Although not injured, Martin went to IRMC to be checked out because of her high blood pressure and pregnancy.
