A woman from Schuylkill County and a man from Philadelphia are facing drug charges after being busted in the 300 block of School Street in Indiana Borough on Saturday evening.
Borough police say 21-year-old Karlie Janowski of Pottsville and 26-year-old Tahir Witherspoon of Philadelphia were in a vehicle that was stopped by police just before 6:30 PM. Janowski was in possession of heroin and Witherspoon had an undisclosed amount of money connected to the sale of drugs, and police say both of them were in the area selling heroin.
Both suspects were charged with possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy to the same offense, and possession of a controlled substance. They were taken to the Indiana County Jail to await arraignment before District Judge George Thachik.
