State Police in Indiana are investigating a major case of theft and access device fraud in the White Township and Armagh areas.
Police say that the victim, a 50-year-old Indiana man unknowingly left his debit cards at Venard’s Crossroads Convienence Store after he made a food purchase. Another customer, who was in line behind the victim, saw the card and took it off the counter. The thief then drove to Krevetski’s Sunoco and used the card to purchase fuel and five packs of cigarettes.
Police are still trying to find the suspect, but he was caught on video tape at the Sunoco station. Police say he is a white man with a medium build, wearing a blue ballcap with what is belived to be the Duke Blue Devils logo, a bright yellow construction T-shirt with McCarl Company advertised on the back of the shirt. Police also say the front of the shirt was soiled, so that indicated he currently works in construction or is a mechanic. If you have any information, call Trooper Marnie Johns at the State Police barracks at 724-357-1960.
