This morning is also an annual sporting event that raises money for a good cause.
Today, athletes from across the area will come together at Yellow Creek State Park for the Jackie Kallal Triathlon. The course consists of a half-mile swim in Yellow Creek, a 9.5 mile bike course and a 3.2 mile run following that.
After the race, there will be a party for the participants with food and beverages, door prizes and awards. Registration starts at 7:30 this morning, and the race begins at 9:00 AM. Proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity.
